Vajra Voyages is a travel company owned and initiated by Dorjay Namgyal Fargo in early 1992. Before that I worked with Fargo travels as manager and tour organizer for 5 years which is one of the oldest travel companies in Ladakh owned by Wangchuk Fargo. From the beginning I have traveled a lot overseas, and had experiences of the life of the people there. So I thought to give the people of developed countries an opportunity to see the nature, mountains and culture that they don’t have any more in the metropolitan cities. With that intention and suggestions from my overseas friends I determined myself to give them a dedicated service in this sector of transhimalayan tourism. An intercultural exchange is thought necessary.

If you are looking for an adventurous Jeep safari to enjoy one of the most exotic landscapes of the Trans-Himalayan region, then we have a custom tailored tour for you. The route from Manali to Leh is normally open to motor traffic for a period of four months in a year and remains closed for the rest of the year due to heavy snowfall.
The main trekking season for Ladakh is during the summer months of June through September, but other months are possible for some treks and expeditions. The treks are fully organized by native Ladakhis with extensive trekking experience. The treks are conducted in the grand Himalayan trekking tradition, where the trekkers hike with only a small day pack, and the trekking crew takes care of the tents, food, and trekker’s duffel bags. The guide leads the way, while the crew hurries on ahead to set up the tents and cook the food.
The Markha Valley trek is the most popular, but there are many other fine treks and tours through the spectacular mountains and valleys of Ladakh.

 

For the Ladakh Treks trekkers will fly into Delhi and spend the night there before flying to Leh , the capital of Ladakh, early in the morning. After several days of acclimatizing to the high altitude in Leh, the treks will begin. Trekkers will return to Leh for a day or two to revitalize and sight-seeing after the trek and then fly back to Delhi for international departures. Our fully inclusive trek packages include all transfers to and from airports, all hotels, and all food except in Delhi.
